Mort Baharloo co-founded Healix, Inc. in 1989 with Alan B. Chaveleh and is the Chairman of the Board. Throughout the course of decades of experience in healthcare, Mr. Baharloo has served in a variety of pharmaceutical and healthcare management positions. Mr. Baharloo's passion in healthcare has been that of innovation in the delivery of sophisticated therapies in the most efficient manner possible. He is also a fiction writer whose first novel was released in November of 2004.
Alan B. Chaveleh
President and Chief Executive Officer
Alan B. Chaveleh is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Healix, Inc. and co-founded Healix in 1989 with Mort Baharloo. Dedicated to providing the highest quality of care, Mr. Chaveleh co-developed the CORIS® program, one of the foremost infusion therapy management programs in the nation. Mr. Chaveleh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University and has over 25 years of management experience in the healthcare, technology, and financial industries.
Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President
Mark Winters joined Healix in September 1990 and serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President. He has 24 years of experience in the healthcare field, along with systems and project management experience in systems engineering. Mr. Winters received a Bachelor’s in Aerospace at Texas A&M and a Master’s in Finance and International Business at the University of Houston. His service includes a place on the board of several Healix affiliates.
Chief Business Officer and Executive Vice President
Mani Moore has been an employee of Healix and its affiliates since 1990 and has served on the Executive Team since 1996. She currently serves as the Chief Business Officer and Executive Vice President. With over 27 years of experience in the healthcare services industry, Ms. Moore contributes extensive expertise in Business Administration to the Healix team. Ms. Moore received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin.
Chief Sales Officer and Executive Vice President
John Park joined Healix in May of 2000 as the Vice President of Client Services. With over 25 years of experience in accounting, banking, finance and client relationship management, Mr. Park brings a unique skill set to both current and prospective clients. He has previously held positions as the Vice President with Chase Bank of Texas in Middle Market and Real Estate banking and as a CPA and Senior Auditor for Arthur Young & Co. Mr. Park received a BBA in Accounting from Harding University and an MBA in Finance from Vanderbilt University.
Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President
Joe Gallegos has served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance of Healix since 2001. Mr. Gallegos has over 25 years of domestic and international accounting, finance, systems, and project management experience, including 12 years working within the healthcare service industry. Prior to joining Healix, he held various financial and management positions in public accounting, at IBM Corporation, Baker Hughes, Inc., Pace Entertainment Corporation, and De Bellas & Co. Investment Banking. Mr. Gallegos attended the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston, receiving an Accounting degree and a Master of Business Administration degree with highest honors.
Senior Vice President of Sales and Development
Noemi Sirisaengtaksin joined Healix and its affiliates in 1992 as the Director of Managed Care and was named Vice President of Marketing in 1996. With three decades of leadership and management experience in the healthcare industry, Ms. Sirisaengtaksin currently serves as Senior Vice President of Sales and Development. Her clinical and business expertise provide results in the sustained growth of the company as a national leader in Office Infusion Center (OIC) management and its expansion into new business lines. She enjoys working with clients to bring value to their organization with Healix’s superior clinical service, business acumen and innovation.
Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs
Earl Silverstein has been with Healix since 1994, serving as Healix's Vice President of Legal Affairs since 1996 and as the President of Alliance Risk Management Services. Mr. Silverstein brings over 40 years of experience in healthcare claims and litigation management, risk management, and insurance consulting. Before joining Healix, Mr. Silverstein served as the President of Dynamark, was Vice President and co-founder of Caronia Corporation, and Vice President of Johnson & Higgins. He was a contributing author of "Emergency Medicine Risk Management" and has written a number of articles and lectured on the subject of healthcare claims, risk management, and healthcare compliance.
Senior Vice President of Logistics
Frank Chaveleh joined Healix in 1995 and became the Vice President of Logistics in 2002. Mr. Chaveleh brings over 52 years of experience to the company. He holds a Professional Engineering license and MBA. He also has educational and professional backgrounds in business, industrial financial management, and mechanical engineering.
Senior Vice President of Nursing
Brenda Parker has been an employee of Healix since 1998 and joined the Executive Team in February 2000 to serve as the Vice President of Nursing . Ms. Parker has more than 25 years of nursing experience, including infusion therapy and more than 20 years of leadership and management expertise. Her accolades in the field are numerous and include national acknowledgement for high standards of practice in the nursing profession.
Lucinda Van Anglen
Senior Vice President of Pharmacy
Lucinda J. Van Anglen, B.S., Pharm.D. joined Healix in 1994. Her curriculum vitae includes work as Homecare Surveyor for the Joint Commission, hospital clinical pharmacist specializing in nutritional support and infectious disease, Nutrition Specialist with B. Braun (formerly known as McGaw), and manager of two home health care companies. Dr. Van Anglen has also served as the Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator, Practice Programs at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, completed her Pharmacy Practice Residency at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, part of the Mayo Clinic, and was awarded her post-baccalaureate Pharm.D. degree from the University of Utah. Dr. Van Anglen's clinical expertise and dedication to excellence drive the development of stringent protocols and help Healix create the highest quality of pharmaceuticals.
Vice President of Operations
Casey Lucas has been an employee of Healix since 2001 and currently serves as the Vice President of Operations. Since joining the company, Mr. Lucas has been instrumental in opening and managing Office Infusion Centers across the nation. In his current role, he oversees the day-to-day operations of all infusion centers. Mr. Lucas received his BBA from St. Edward’s University and his MBA in Finance from Texas A&M University.
Vice President of Human Resources
Liz Orphé joined Healix in 1999 as the Human Resources Manager and currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources. With over 30 years of Human Resources experience, Liz oversees Healix’s nationwide human resources functions, including employee relations, compensation and benefits and professional development initiatives. Prior to joining Healix, she served in a leadership position for a consulting business in the oil and gas industry. She has designed the human resources services for companies with a primary focus on employment law, staff management, and employee relations. She also served as Human Resource Manager for 12 years at a national healthcare organization.
Vice President of Accounting
An employee of Healix since 1999, Melisa Norton currently serves as the Vice President of Accounting. With over 15 years of healthcare, business, and financial services experience, Ms. Norton’s expertise and commitment to best practices bring considerable value to Healix’s financial performance. Melisa graduated from the University of Texas at Austin as part of the Red McComb’s School of Business with a degree in Accounting.
Vice President of Supply Chain
Linda Dunk began her career with Healix over 14 years ago with the Client Services Team, and then moved into Operations to manage the clinical staff coverage. In her current role as Vice President of Supply Chain, Linda draws on her 34+ years of healthcare operations experience to oversee the sourcing and purchasing of drugs and medical supplies, as well as the recruiting and hiring of clinical site staff, the management of the national coverage team, and the implementation of new CORIS sites. Mrs. Dunk holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Education and a Master’s degree in Health Planning, both from Texas A&M University.
Vice President of Software Development
Virudhs Raman joined Healix in March 2002. With more than 18 years of product development and management experience, he has launched multiple innovative products and has deep expertise in software engineering, product life cycle management, agile development and quality control. As the Vice President of Software Development and Support, Mr. Raman is responsible for developing strategic and operational plans and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future software systems across the organization. Mr. Raman holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Computer Science degree from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in India.
Vice President of Reimbursement
Diana L. Pena joined Healix in 1992 and serves as the Vice President of Reimbursement. With over 22 years of healthcare and management experience, Diana brings a unique perspective in business office operations, customer service, financial analysis, and process improvement. Diana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Houston and a Master of Business Administration degree with highest honors from the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston.
Vice President of Legal Affairs and Senior Corporate Counsel
Scott Weiss joined Healix in 2007 and currently serves as Vice President of Legal Affairs and Senior Corporate Counsel. In his current role, Mr. Weiss advises Healix on various healthcare and regulatory matters, as well as those involving general corporate law. Prior to joining Healix, he served as general counsel to a national 3rd party logistics company after working at a regional law firm and completing a judicial clerkship with the Fourth Court of Appeals. Mr. Weiss has received the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell® and is a graduate of Louisiana State University, South Texas College of Law where he was a member of the South Texas Law Review, and Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
