Healix® manages physician-owned office infusion centers and pharmacies nationwide providing in-office treatment and take-home medications for optimal patient comfort and outcomes. Our on-site clinical pharmacy team consists of Clinical Pharmacy Managers and Certified Pharmacy Technicians who provide an array of pharmaceutical care services to patients within Healix-managed office infusion centers across the country. Our pharmacists and technicians are able to enjoy daytime hours within a physician office setting and have direct patient interaction in an interdisciplinary team environment.
Clinical Pharmacy Managers
Our Clinical Pharmacy Managers oversee onsite infusion pharmacies and are responsible for the compounding, dispensing, and monitoring of medications for patient use at home or in the infusion center. They conduct clinical consultations frequently with physicians regarding drug therapy. They interact daily with the office infusion center nursing staff to coordinate patients’ medications.
National Coverage Clinical Pharmacists
Healix also has a team of National Coverage Clinical Pharmacists who receive extensive training and licensure in multiple states. They travel nationwide to manage patients in Healix infusion center pharmacies. Daily duties include management of operations in the infusion pharmacy including drug preparation and dispensing, patient counseling, monitoring of lab results, and clinical consultations with physicians regarding drug therapy.
Certified Pharmacy Technicians
Our Certified Pharmacy Technicians perform sterile compounding in USP 797 compliant pharmacy facilities. Activities are conducted under the supervision of Healix Clinical Pharmacy Managers and include compounding of antimicrobials, parenteral nutrition, immunoglobulins, and other infusion therapies.
With 30 years of sterile compounding services, the Healix Infusion Therapy, LLC Pharmacy provides traditional patient-specific pharmacy compounding nationwide for the physician and hospital markets. Our 503A state-of-the-art pharmacy facility in Sugar Land, Texas meets or exceeds United States Pharmacopeia (USP) industry standards including compliance with Chapters <797> and <800>. The pharmacy is staffed with experienced and highly-trained pharmacists and technicians committed to the provision of sterile products. They work rotating shifts Monday through Friday where they have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with technologically advanced systems.
Clinical Staff Pharmacists
Our Clinical Staff Pharmacists are responsible for the compounding, dispensing, and monitoring of medications for patient use at home or in the infusion center. They are specialized in gastroenterology, immunology, infectious diseases, neurology, nutrition, and oncology, and provide medication therapy management, clinical pharmacy consultations, and clinical monitoring of all drug therapies. Our pharmacists oversee patients receiving anti-infectives, chemotherapy, adult, pediatric and neonatal parenteral nutrition, immunotherapy, and other sterile compounded medications.
Certified Pharmacy Technicians
Our Texas-Registered Pharmacy Technicians are experienced in the compounding of medium-risk sterile products including anti-infectives, chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition, and other sterile compounded medications.
