The pharmacist, Pharmacist Technician, or Registered Nurse, specially trained in sterile products and admixtures, prepares the product.

As required, all products are appropriately prepared to meet applicable state and federal guidelines.

Next, the Registered Nurse connects the patient to the infusion mechanism and the administration begins.

The infusion nurse then meets with the next scheduled patient and begins the process afresh—all during the administration of any other patient and while continuously monitoring each for safety and optimal clinical outcomes.

After each patient’s initial infusion, a Patient Satisfaction Survey is conducted. The infusion nurse ensures that patients have an anonymous opportunity to give feedback on their infusion center experience.
